This summer, in response to our canceled conference, we are bringing the ACDA-PA newsletter, Polyphony, out of retirement to showcase some of the material you would have seen in-person! Several of the people who applied to present an interest session have written up their session in prose! In lieu of reading sessions, President-Elect Liz Colpo has compiled lists from our eleven Repertoire and Resource areas! Thank you to our R&R Coordinators and Chairs! Click the graphic below to view the newsletter:
Join Moderator Dr. Dustin Cates as he and his panel discuss Justice and Equity Issues in Your Choral Spaces. As we prepare for the fall, taking the opportunity to explore how current events, particularly as they relate to inclusion, diversity, and representation may manifest themselves in your rehearsals. Rep resources will be discussed, as well as how COVID-19 disproportionately impacted communities of color.
For complete biographical information about the panelists, click here. A Virtual Happy Hour will follow the session in a separate Zoom meeting with a link that will be posted at the end of the webinar for participants. This Webinar DOES require pre-registration (a correction to the May 20 email), and is open to ACDA-PA members, ACDA members from other states, and choral colleagues who are not a part of ACDA (be sure to share how great ACDA membership can be!).
There is a limit of 500 participants, so please register early. Once you register, an email will be sent to you with the webinar link! You should have just received an email from no-reply@editmysite.com. Our website content management system, Weebly, sent that out automatically after I uploaded the membership database to the site to create member accounts. Please follow the link to complete your membership registration.
Since most of us have a lot of time on our hands right now, I figured it would be a good time to get this taken care so we can start using the member area to share content in the future to our members. Stay healthy and safe! Shaun Cloonan ACDA-PA Communications Chair For those members attending the Eastern Region conference this week, ACDA-PA is able to provide Act 48 professional development hours for your participation. You must complete the hour log as well as the assessment survey and return it to Regina Gordon within 2 weeks of the conference completion. Hours will be submitted to the Department of Education and, once approved, should appear in your Professional Education Record Management System account. ![]()
