Dear ACDA-PA members,
We want to thank all those who attended tonight’s panel, “Justice and Equity in your Choral Spaces”. It was a wonderful discussion, filled with thoughtful and practical advice. Thank you to each of our panelists for your wisdom and for taking time to share it with us.
In this technological age, online security is always a concern. Unfortunately, we encountered a situation this evening where our session was hijacked by offensive content. We immediately ended the session and canceled the Virtual Happy Hour.
Although the situation was out of our control, we would like to sincerely apologize for any distress this has caused. In the future, we will work diligently to better secure our state-wide offerings, while continuing to offer vital and valuable programming to the ACDA-PA membership.
Thank you again for your support.
Congratulations to the recipients of this year’s ACDA-PA Awards!
These awards will be presented in person at the ACDA-PA 2021 Summer Conference.

This summer, in response to our canceled conference, we are bringing the ACDA-PA newsletter, Polyphony, out of retirement to showcase some of the material you would have seen in-person! Several of the people who applied to present an interest session have written up their session in prose! In lieu of reading sessions, President-Elect Liz Colpo has compiled lists from our eleven Repertoire and Resource areas! Thank you to our R&R Coordinators and Chairs! Join Moderator Dr. Dustin Cates as he and his panel discuss Justice and Equity Issues in Your Choral Spaces. As we prepare for the fall, taking the opportunity to explore how current events, particularly as they relate to inclusion, diversity, and representation may manifest themselves in your rehearsals. Rep resources will be discussed, as well as how COVID-19 disproportionately impacted communities of color.

In addition, each month we will be sharing several video and print resources with you, including repertoire lists from each R&R area!
We are looking for more content to share this summer! Please submit the following by May 25:
You should have just received an email from firstname.lastname@example.org. Our website content management system, Weebly, sent that out automatically after I uploaded the membership database to the site to create member accounts. Please follow the link to complete your membership registration.
Since most of us have a lot of time on our hands right now, I figured it would be a good time to get this taken care so we can start using the member area to share content in the future to our members.
Stay healthy and safe!
