1. Is housing available at the conference?
There is no on-campus housing available at WCU, but we've reserved a block of rooms with an ACDA-PA group discount at the Hampton Inn 635 Lancaster Avenue, Frazer, PA 19355. Single king-bed rooms are $109/night and two-queen-bed rooms are $119/night. Call the hotel directly to reserve your room: (610) 699-1300
2. Can I attend the conference AND sing in the Choir For All?
Yes! Please register/pay for the conference online, and then email Derrick Thompson ([email protected]) to let him know you will also participate in the Choir for All. If you register for the conference, there is no additional fee to sing in the Choir for All, but you must email Derrick in advance so we can provide you with music.
3. Are any meals included in the conference?
Yes - lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and a light dinner on Monday.
4. What if I have special dietary needs?
Two weeks before the conference, we will email all attendees and ask them to send any special dietary needs to our Conference Chair, Conner Newkum-Ulrich ([email protected]).
5. Are reading packets included in the conference fee?
Yes. All attendees will receive reading packets upon check-in.
6. Is parking available nearby?
Yes, Swope Hall has a huge parking lot that is available for all to use during the conference.
7. Is ACDA-PA After Hours happening this year?
YES! Plans are still in progress. Check back for updates.
8. Are there other cool things to do near West Chester University if I want to make the long drive from western PA worthwhile?
YES! Please consider visiting some of the stunning gems of the area - Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum, Winterthur, Nemours, Baldwin's Book Barn, Samuel Barber's house, and of course Philadelphia is only 30 minutes away. West Chester and Kennett Square are great towns to enjoy on your visit.
