ACDA-PA Announces the 2023 "In the Middle" Middle School Summer Honor Choir
ACDA-PA members are encouraged to invite their middle school singers (completed grades 6-8) to join in song this summer at the Summer Conference! Guest conductor Dr. Anthony Trecek-King will lead the “In the Middle" honor choir associated with the ACDA-PA summer conference.
The rehearsals and performance will take place at Messiah University on Monday, July 31, 2023 which will culminate in a performance at the conference in a concert shared with the "Choir for All" Honor Choir. Middle school directors are encouraged to recommend motivated students who will be able to focus during a full day of rehearsal, will prepare the music in advance of the festival, have strong pitch matching skills, and can maintain part independence.

Costs
Registration price is $60 per singer, which includes music, rehearsal tracks, lunch/snacks, and rehearsals with the conductor and accompanist. Directors who also attend the summer conference will receive a discounted conference registration rate.

Registration
Parents/guardians should complete an INDIVIDUAL SINGER REGISTRATION for each participating student. A copy of form responses will be sent to the parent email address used to complete the form. Please forward the confirmation email to your child's director so that they have a record of the registration.
Each participating director should submit a DIRECTOR REGISTRATION that lists each of their participating singers and includes the address where music packets should be shipped to by J.W. Pepper. Payment can be made either online using the same linked registration form below or by printing out a fillable invoice to submit a check. All checks should be made payable to ACDA-PA and sent to Honor Choir chair Samantha Roberts.

- “In completing this registration form on behalf of my singers, I agree that we will abide by all rules and policies prescribed by the festival site. CDC & ACDA guidance related to COVID-19 will be followed as necessary at the time of the event. All associated parents/guardians grant permission for their child(ren) to participate in this ACDA-PA sponsored festival and will not hold ACDA-PA or its members responsible for any unforeseen accident, illness, or loss of property during or in transit to/from the above festival.”
