​It's not too soon to start thinking about the Fall Conference as well!  We are seeking performing ensembles to be featured at this year's ACDA-PA Fall Conference at Lincoln University on October 26-27, 2018.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Conductor must be a current paid member of ACDA.
• Conductor must have been employed in the same position for the 2017-18 and 2016-17 school/calendar years.
• Conductor must have conducted the auditioning ensemble for the 2017-18 and 2016-17 school/calendar years.
• Choir must be available to perform on Saturday, October 17, 2018.
• ACDA-PA assumes no financial responsibility for performer travel, food, and lodging.
• By submitting an application to perform, if chosen, you automatically consent to being audio and video recorded with no financial compensation from ACDA-PA or the recording company.

AUDIO CD REQUIREMENTS:

• Please submit one AUDIO CD customized to the audition requirements. Show choir applications must include both an AUDIO CD and a VIDEO DVD.
• The recording should be no longer than 10-15 minutes in length and must include three contrasting selections, two of which must be from the 2017-18 season.
• Recordings must be of live performances.  Professional/studio recordings are unacceptable.
• IMPORTANT:  Do not place ensemble name, conductor name, performer names, institution, or repertoire selections on the CD/DVD. Instead, place the name of the ensemble, conductor and institution on the envelope containing the audition materials.

AUDITION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• Include a photocopy of one concert program for each piece represented on the application CD/DVD. Please photocopy the program pages that include the concert date and the repertoire page.
• Please include two copies of the ensemble’s biography and two copies of the conductor’s biography. Each biography should be up to a maximum of 100 words.  You will be asked to submit photographs upon acceptance.
• An application fee of $15 must accompany the submission. Please make your check payable to ACDA-PA.

SCHEDULE:
August 1, 2018 - Postmark deadline for mailing to Auditioned Choirs Co-Chairs.
August 15, 2018 - Executive selection committee convenes for final screening.
August 16, 2018 - Invitations extended to choirs. All notification will be sent via email.

• Proposed concert program (Program must be no more than 25 minutes including entrance, exit and applause.)
• Photocopies of programs
• Check for $15 application fee payable to ACDA-PA
• Ensemble and conductor biographies
• Completed Choral Performance Agreement Form
